‘You’re not doing your wife a favour when you pay bills’ –Nollywood, Actress Mary Nkoju tells men

Nollywood actress Mary Njoku has taken to social media to correct a misconception that most married men have about women and their wives.

In a post shared on her Instagram page, the actress said that men should understand they are not doing their wives any favour by paying bills at home.

According to the actress, marriage is a partnership, and when a man foots the bills, he is merely holding up to his end of the bargain.

She added that marriage is built on teamwork, and love shouldn’t be blind when it comes to marriage.

Mary Njoku wrote: Dear African men you are not doing your wife favour, the mother of your kids a favour when you pay bills. Marriage and parenting is a partnership. You are merely holding up your end of the bargain
